Role Description

Simply Admissions is looking for a contract consultant who can step in and run a small portfolio of families from the first meeting through application submission. If the initial 90‑day pilot is successful for both sides, we will discuss a full‑time salaried position with a clear path to team leadership.

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of up to ten students during the pilot (scaling to twenty after conversion). You will handle onboarding, goal‑setting, course planning, balanced college list creation, and application timelines.
  • Lead all client meetings. You will schedule sessions, run focused agendas, and follow up with recap emails within 24 hours. Evening or limited weekend availability is required so families can meet outside the school day.
  • Coach essays and résumés. You will provide first‑pass edits on personal statements, supplemental essays, and activity lists within forty‑eight hours, tracking all versions in Google Drive.
  • Keep the CRM clean. Every student interaction must be logged in our internal CRM, including notes, next steps, and key deadlines. A 95percent on‑time completion rate for tasks and reminders is the expectation.
  • Spot and solve workflow gaps. You will document at least two concrete suggestions for improving our playbooks or internal processes during the pilot. High‑value ideas will become part of our standard operating procedures.
  • Know when to escalate. Any high‑stakes issues, such as financial‑aid appeals, wait‑list strategy, or potential client dissatisfaction, should reach the owner within twelve hours.
  • Independent contractor (1099), 15–25 hours per week
  • Hourly rate of 40‑55dollars plus a completion bonus tied to meeting pilot milestones
  • Flexible schedule as long as Eastern Time deadlines are met and two evenings per week remain open for calls
  • You provide your own workspace, laptop, and reliable internet

Qualifications

Required

  • Two or more years in college counseling, selective tutoring, or undergraduate admissions.
  • Confident leading Zoom sessions and speaking with both students and parents.
  • Solid command of Google Workspace; CRM experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines without close supervision.

Preferred

  • Prior admissions committee or reader experience.
  • Familiarity with merit‑aid research or basic financial‑aid strategy.
