This position is Remote in the states of Minnesota or Wisconsin. You will have the flexibility to work remotely as you take on some tough challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the resolution of unpaid accounts
  • Receives and resolves calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and departments
  • Obtains and processes payments
  • Collaborates with patients to create payment arrangements
  • Updates incomplete and missing account information
  • Documents collection activities
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience working in healthcare billing, healthcare collections or healthcare accounts receivable
  • Although not common, ability to travel onsite to 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407 for any major computer issues that arise
  • Equipment pick up is required on day one if you reside within 2 hours of 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis MN 55407. For those outside the area, equipment will be shipped
  • Ability to work Monday- Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm CST and Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm CST
Preferred
  • 1+ years of EPIC or similar EMR systems experience
Telecommuting Requirements
  • Reside within the states of Minnesota or Wisconsin
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Schedule, Training, and Compensation

This position is full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm CST and Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
