Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

The Associate Coach, Women's Soccer, assists the Head Coach in providing leadership for a NCAA Division I soccer program. This position assists with all aspects of the women's soccer program and plays an integral part in the day-to-day administrative responsibilities, daily team training, evaluation, and recruitment of student-athletes, academic monitoring and skill development. This position must work within UNCW, CAA, and NCAA guidelines to provide student-athletes an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act) and serves as a mandatory reporter. This position will be required to complete annual training about reporting responsibilities and report Clery crimes that occur within one of three categories of properties: On-Campus property, Non-Campus Property, or Public Property.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 collegiate years of coaching experience
• Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills along with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of NCAA coaching experience
• Experience teaching/presenting in a classroom setting
• Demonstrated success in recruitment of scholarship athletes
• Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid
• Proficient in Wyscout, Sportscode and Nacsport analysis software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Possess the highest level of ethical standards, recruit qualified student-athletes, and display a strong commitment to their academic success

Required Certifications or Licensures:

• A current driver's license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record while serving in the position is required
• USSF B license or equivalent
