Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer to join the Government Vehicle Health Maintenance team in Hazelwood, MO. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud-native microservices that monitor platform health and usage data, and generate maintenance recommendations.

You'll collaborate on an Agile team within a CI/CD pipeline, contribute across the full software lifecycle, and work on systems supporting programs like F/A-18 and MQ-25. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• 2+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a high-level language like C#, .NET, Java, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
• 2+ years of experience developing software on Windows or Linux.
• 2+ years of experience developing software for containerized architectures (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• 2+ years of experience in Git.
• 2+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software across the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate customer needs and requirements into initial software designs and implementation plans.
• Develop, document, and maintain software architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and detailed designs.
• Develop, integrate, and optimize software products and system integrations, including supplier-supplied components.
• Debug complex issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure product reliability and performance.
• Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot technical problems, and incorporate user feedback into improvements.
• Research and evaluate current and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks; recommend and implement relevant solutions.
• Establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
• Plan, execute, and document software research and development initiatives.
