Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Phoenix is seeking an Associate Clinical Trainer (BCBA) to mentor and coach the next generation of BCBAs. You will supervise practicum students, provide hands-on clinical coaching, and help grow the care model within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

The role offers a base salary of $100,500–$105,000 per year with a potential annual bonus up to $5,000. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available based on start date and location, with opportunities for advancement and ESDM

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field.
  • BCBA certification required with ABA early intervention experience.
  • Experience mentoring practicum students and supervising BCBAs.

Responsibilities

  • Support 3-4 case supervisors to grow their clinical and decision-making skills.
  • Design and implement individualized, naturalistic ABA for children ages 2-6.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on assessments and treatment plans.
  • Provide weekly hours of supervised practice to trainees during their first weeks.
  • Assist in organizing center-level continuing education events.

Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care and a play-based model of ABA therapy based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model. Compensation and role design

The Associate Clinical Trainer role is built for BCBAs who are passionate about mentorship, clinical coaching, and developing the next generation of behavior analysts. In this role, you will help Case Supervisors (practicum students) grow into confident, thoughtful, and well-prepared future BCBAs by providing hands‑on supervision, structured feedback, and real-time clinical coaching.

  • Base pay: $100,500.00 - $105,000.00/year. Annual performance bonus potential up to $5,000. Additional compensation beyond the range for achieving clinical certifications.
  • Bonus: Up to $10,000 sign on bonus, based on start date and location.
  • Support and training: The Associate Clinical Trainer role is designed as a developmental pathway to the Clinical Trainer position. In this role, individuals will build proficiency in Soar’s care model while managing a small caseload and supervising practicum students, before progressing into the Clinical Trainer role.

What you will be doing
  • The Associate Clinical Trainer is responsible supporting 3-4 case supervisors as they grow their clinical and decision making skills
  • Design and implement individualized, naturalistic ABA for children ages 2-6 in a center-based setting
  • Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary clinical team (SLP, OT, psychology, developmental pediatrics) on assessments and integrated treatment plans
  • Use ESDM-informed strategies (we provide training, ESDM experience not required)
  • Provide weekly hours of billable supervision, focused on providing supervision to trainees during their first 6 weeks at Soar, and case supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam
  • Assist the Clinical Trainer in organizing and hosting quarterly, center-level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs
  • Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting your role as a Associate Clinical Trainer

What You Have
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field
  • Preferred candidates have a background in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of experience as Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • ABA early intervention experience

  • Strong desire to work with clients ages 2- 6
  • Clear professional communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Fluency in navigating devices such as computers and tablets
