Job summary

Marble seeks an Associate in Paris to drive venture creation across grid hardware, power electronics, energy storage, semiconductors, photonics and compute infrastructure. You will lead opportunity research, talent sourcing, and collaboration with Founders in Residence to build new companies from concept to seed, with robust diligence guiding decisions.

You will work in a fast-paced venture team, reporting to Partners, and contribute across opportunity areas while navigating 2–3 year fundable

Qualifications

• PhD in Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience building hardware that had to work in real-world environments.
• Commercial orientation: product, customers, economics, deployment, manufacturing or supply chains.
• Ability to reason from first principles and break down problems.
• Clear communicator with memos and engaging presentations.
• Talent intuition to identify great founders.
• Makes things happen with high ownership on projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive venture creation research to identify fundable opportunities.
• Source Founders in Residence with high founder potential.
• Develop venture ideas with Founders, de-risk them, and seed them with a roadmap.
• Conduct robust diligence to support progress and decisions.
