Job summary

Nucleus Global is seeking an Associate Client Services Director to provide strategic leadership for a key Publications account. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated scientific communications programs, drive client satisfaction, and manage profitability.

You will mentor Client Services professionals, shape account strategy, and identify opportunities to expand partnerships with senior client stakeholders and within the Inizio Medical network.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Client Services experience within a medical communications agency, with significant experience supporting Publications accounts.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior pharmaceutical clients and lead integrated scientific communications.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and growth.
  • Experience leading and developing Client Services teams across cross-functional groups.
  • Demonstrated success leading business development activities, proposals, pitches, and expanding partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker translating client objectives and market insights into Medical Affairs and Publications strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

  • Oversee account financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, profitability, resource planning, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices and improving delivery processes.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Client Services team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Contribute to business development by leading proposals, RFPs/RFIs, pitches, and onboarding new business.
  • Lead account strategy and planning using market insights to develop innovative solutions delivering long-term value.
  • Stay informed on Medical Communications, publications, AI, and omnichannel engagement; bring new ideas to clients and teams.

About the Role

As an Associate Client Services Director, you'll provide strategic leadership for a key Publications account. You'll serve as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders, overseeing the successful delivery of integrated scientific communications programs while ensuring exceptional client service, operational excellence, and commercial performance.

Working closely with Scientific Services and cross-functional teams, you'll help shape account strategy, drive operational excellence, mentor and develop Client Services team members, and identify opportunities to strengthen and grow the client partnership.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with Scientific Services, Editorial, Digital, Creative, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality scientific communications that support client objectives.

  • Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, improving delivery processes, and leading strategic initiatives that enhance account performance.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Client Services team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Contribute to business development by leading proposals, RFPs/RFIs, pitches, and onboarding new business, while identifying opportunities to expand the existing client partnership.
  • Lead account strategy and planning, applying market insights and industry trends to develop innovative solutions that deliver long-term value.
  • Stay informed on developments across Medical Communications, scientific publications, AI, and omnichannel engagement, bringing forward new ideas and strategic thinking to clients and internal teams.
About You

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, profitability, and driving organic account growth.
  • Experience leading and developing Client Services teams while collaborating effectively across Scientific Services, Editorial, Digital, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading business development activities, including proposals, pitches, and expanding existing client partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate client objectives and market insights into impactful Medical Affairs and Publications strategies.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a passion for developing people and delivering exceptional client experiences.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$130,000 - $160,000 USD
