The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is offering an entry-level rotational program to develop candidates into technical experts for ERCOT market operations. This 12-month program allows associates to gain hands-on exposure to market systems, data flows, and grid operations.
Located in Taylor, TX, this position is hybrid (2 days/week). Candidates are expected to analyze data, support market operations, and engage with participants, with a salary range of $66,000 – $91,000.

ERCOT’s Client Services Development Program (CSDP) is a 12‑month rotational program designed to develop entry‑level or career‑transitioning candidates into technical subject matter experts and primary points of contact for ERCOT market operations. The program builds you into a trusted point of contact for ERCOT Market Participants, providing a strong foundation in ERCOT’s market systems, protocols, and grid operations with emphasis on technical analysis, market rule interpretation, and system/process integration. Associates rotate through Market Training, Market Support Services, and Client Services Account Management, gaining hands‑on exposure to the systems, data flows, protocols, and operational processes that support the ERCOT wholesale market and grid operations. No prior experience in energy markets is required.
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related), Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Taylor, TX — hybrid (2 days per week).
Expected Salary Range: $66,000 – $91,000.
