Job description

The Associate Client Manager, Commercial Risk serves as a technical resource for clients, advisors, Insurance Company Partners and prospects while providing prompt, efficient, high-quality service for designated accounts within our Construction Practice.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Gather informational and risk management recommendations for renewals and deliver renewals and/or binders as needed.
  • Assist in managing all policy activity aspects of assigned accounts, including endorsements and invoicing.
  • Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, the organization and Insurance Company Partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Receive phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies; determine acceptability and placement, complete applications or endorsements, and collect premium when applicable.
  • Review existing accounts to determine whether additional lines of insurance should be solicited and pursue these via mail and/or phone prior to renewal.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners and understand carrier requirements and attributes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes; bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
Requirements
  • Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives.
  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other firm business segments.
  • Demonstrates firm’s behavioral tenets, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.
  • At least 3–5 years of related insurance experience or related industry experience; Risk Management or related degrees are applicable.
  • Obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty state insurance license or other required state insurance license(s) within the first 90 days.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
