Job summary

Dokken Engineering in Irvine, CA is seeking an Associate Engineer to support transportation projects from concept through construction under supervision of Senior Engineers.

You will perform engineering tasks, exercise independent judgment, and contribute to PS&E packages. A BS in Civil Engineering, a California PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and 4–10 years of relevant experience are required. Hybrid work and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• California PE license or ability to obtain reciprocal within 6 months.
• 4–10 years of transportation project experience after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Execute planning, design, and construction tasks for transportation projects.
• Produce detailed roadway/structure designs, design calculations, PS&E for transportation facilities.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, utility companies, subconsultants, resource agencies, and clients.
• Oversee project progress and budget/expenditures.
• Direct and mentor engineering assistants, technicians, and interns.
