Job summary

Pennoni Associates invites an Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our Virginia Beach, VA office. The candidate will contribute to highway and roadway design using MicroStation Connect, ORD, and ProjectWise, with Autodesk Civil 3D as an alternative.

Experience in H&H, drainage, SWM/ES&C, and water/sanitary sewer layout is valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare technical reports are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with MicroStation Connect, ORD, and PW or Autodesk Civil 3D in highway/roadway design.
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus.
• Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience.
• Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.
• CCR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support transportation civil engineering projects in the Virginia Beach office.
• Prepare technical reports and memorandums as needed.
• Contribute to maintenance of traffic schemes, construction phasing and traffic control plans.

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office, with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Required Attributes:

• MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3-D experience Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus
• Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience
• Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.
• CCR certification a plus
• Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
• Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
• Construction consultation experience

Preferred Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills-both oral and written.
• Experience with preparing technical reports and memorandums.
