Royal in Louisiana is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer Intern to join our multidisciplinary team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in engineering design, project management, and client communications.

You will assist in reports, plans, cost estimates, schedules, permit applications, and construction documentation while supporting QA efforts and collaborating with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Active Louisiana EI designation required.
• Progressive engineering experience under the direct supervision of a licensed PE.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports, specifications, plans, permit applications, and construction schedules.
• Prepare construction estimates, schedules, reports, and project design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality requirements across programs and projects.
• Prepare design plans and specifications for projects.
• Evaluate site conditions to aid in design development.
• Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.
• Use CAD and other design software to develop documents.
• Assist in construction administration duties for active projects.

About Us

We are seeking a motivated Associate Civil Engineer Intern to join our multidisciplinary team in Louisiana. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in engineering design and project management. You’ll assist in preparing reports, specifications, plans, permit applications, and construction schedules, while supporting client communications and contributing to quality control efforts.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide general, entry‑level support to the engineering department.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, schedules, reports, and project design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, and areas.
• Prepare design plans and specifications for projects.
• Evaluates the physical conditions of the worksite to aid in design plans.
• Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.
• Use CAD and other design software to develop design documents.
• Assist in construction administration duties for projects under construction.
  

Here’s What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive engineering experience under the direct supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Active Louisiana EI designation required.
  
• Valid driver’s license
  

Supervision

Work requires the occasional direction of helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, or temporary employees.

• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
