Job summary

TD Securities, part of the TD group, seeks a Corporate and Investment Banking - Credit Associate in New York. You will perform credit analysis on corporate transactions and work with the investment banking team on originated and refinanced deals.

You will lead due diligence, build financial models, review documentation, and monitor portfolio performance while collaborating with senior finance professionals across internal teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Economics.
• 2-3 years of related credit analysis experience covering Utilities.
• Licenses: SIE, Series 7, 79 and 63.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality credit submissions as part of a team.
• Lead due diligence and analyze clients' financial performance.
• Construct or oversee building of detailed models for lower rated names.

POSITION: Corporate and Investment Banking - Credit - Associate

Associates are responsible for credit analysis of corporate banking transactions and work closely with the Investment Banking team and clients on newly originated transactions and refinancings, as well as with our debt capital markets, equity capital markets, syndication and risk management teams.

In this capacity you will:

• Prepare and recommend high quality credit submissions as part of a team.
• Lead due diligence and oversee the research and analysis of clients' financial performance.
• Construct or oversee building of detailed models for lower rated names.
• Assist with the review of legal documentation.
• Monitor assigned portfolio performance and compliance with covenants.
• Interact with senior finance professionals at our clients' businesses and other internal teams.
• Continue to build on and enhance your detailed knowledge of trends in the Utilities industry.
• Identify/recognize cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with other business units/product groups as appropriate.
• Participate on project working groups and/or internal and external committees within a major risk category.
• Compile reports on overall business trends, risks, losses, and issues on aggregated basis and recommend management action to minimize risk exposures.
