The position emphasizes writing/maintaining SOPs, training staff, and maintaining high QC standards while operating in a 1st shift, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Writes and updates SOPs and analytical methods.
• Learns new analyses with minimal guidance.
• Understands and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and procedures.
• Communicates results and interpretation to clients.
• Maintains superior QC performance.
• Coordinates work of technicians to meet turnaround times.
• Determines rush feasibility based on department operations.
• Verifies assigned analyses.
• Trains others in analytical procedures, instrumentation, and safety practices.
• Assists technicians and laboratory assistants as needed.
• Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and laboratory assistants as needed to meet deadlines.
• Support training and mentoring of junior staff on methods and safety.

Job description

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform skilled analytical procedures accurately and precisely without supervision
• Write and update SOPs, analytical methods
• Learn new analyses with minimal guidance
• Understand and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and procedures
• Communicate results and interpretation of results to clients
• Superior level of QC performance
• Help coordinate work of technicians to meet hold times, rush, promised, and standard laboratory turnaround times
• Sufficient knowledge of department operations to determine if rush can be promised
• Verify assigned analyses
• Train others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices
• Assist technicians and laboratory assistants as needed
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Role is 1st Shift, M-F, 8am-430pm. Training will be the same hours.
