Job description

Associate Chemist (Associate Scientist) - PFAS Prep - 2nd Shift

This position is a full-time, 2nd shift role from 3pm to 11:30pm. The job involves performing prep and analysis of samples for various analytical methods, following SOPs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply GMP/GLP standards as appropriate.
  • Perform sample preparation and analysis for routine testing.
  • Review and compile supporting data.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
  • Follow SOPs mandated by EPA, company, and governing agencies.
  • Prepare standard solutions and reagents.
  • Dispose of chemical waste properly.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Lab experience, especially with instrumentation like LC/MS or GC/MS.
  • Environmental Science coursework or experience is a plus.
