Job summary

Accupac is seeking an Associate Chemist to perform in-process and routine chemical testing of materials and products in a GMP environment. You will operate instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, and FTIR while maintaining strict documentation and cGMP compliance.

Associate Chemist I or II levels require 6 months to 2 years of GMP lab experience, a BS in Analytical Chemistry, and strong attention to detail. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and 401(k) offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Analytical Chemistry or related science.
• 6 months to 1 year of chemical lab experience in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, routine, and non-routine chemical testing of raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods using approved procedures.
• Conduct physical and wet chemistry tests (e.g., titration, pH, viscosity, acid/sap value, density, LOD, refractive index).
• Operate laboratory instruments (HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, FTIR) and resolve issues with methods or equipment.
• Maintain cGMP-compliant documentation: notebooks, assay reports, and logbooks.
• Assure calibration, standardization, and cGMP compliance activities in the lab.
• Support environmental and validation sample testing.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of chemical analysis procedures.

Competitive Pay

• Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
• You will receive an additional $2/hr for working 3rd shift
• Bonus: Gainsharing Bonus

What We’re Looking For:

Associate Chemist I:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Analytical Chemistry or related science
• 6 months to 1 year of chemical lab experience in a GMP environment

Associate Chemist II:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Analytical Chemistry or related science
• 1–2 years of chemical lab experience in a GMP environment

• Working knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation
• Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, LIMS, and TrackWise systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Color vision required; must meet all physical demands of a lab environment
