Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Day - 12 Hour shift role to support patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pickup, and handling special requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-between meal food delivery as needed.
• Assist with accuracy of patient meal services and communicate any issues to the team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, families and associates of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, and percent. Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospital’s admission, discharge and transfers system and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
