Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a highly motivated Associate, Capital Markets and Capital Formation to manage the company’s financial structure and capital deployment. The role focuses on financing strategy, execution, and investor communications, based in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA.

You will collaborate with treasury and finance teams to optimize liquidity, assess capital needs for high-growth initiatives, and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and rating agencies.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our Corporate Finance team as an Associate, Capital Markets and Capital Formation. In this critical role, you will be effectively managing the company's financial structure by determining where we source our capital and how we strategically deploy it.

This role requires a unique blend of financial structuring expertise, capital allocation discipline, and world-class relationship management to secure and optimize the financing essential for our high-growth initiatives.

This role will be required to be based in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA.

What You'll Be Working On:
Capital Formation & Transaction Execution
  • Financing Strategy: Support the development and execution of the company's capital strategy across various financing avenues, including debt facilities, equity investments, corporate credit lines, asset-backed securitizations, and private placements,.

  • Transaction Lead: Act as a key execution team member on new debt and equity issuances, coordinating due diligence, managing legal documentation, and overseeing the closing process.

  • Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and stress-test complex financial models to evaluate new financing proposals, analyze pricing, and assess the impact of different capital structures on the balance sheet and overall cost of capital.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor global debt and equity capital markets, interest rate environments, and peer company financing activity to inform and shape internal strategy.

Relationship Management & Investor Relations
  • Create and maintain key relationships across the banking and buy-side community. Attend relevant conferences and events to establish strong ties into the capital markets. Lender and Investor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, high-touch relationships with investment banks, institutional investors, credit rating agencies, and financial partners.

  • External Representation: Prepare high-quality, professional marketing materials (pitch books, deal teasers, investor presentations) to articulate the company's financial story and financing needs to external capital providers.

  • Negotiation Support: Assist senior management in term sheet negotiations and structuring discussions with capital partners.

Internal Capital Allocation & Treasury
  • "Internal Bank" Function: Work closely with treasury and broader finance organizations in order to help manage capital flows and capital availability for new projects (e.g., Corporate Development, Operations, and Business Units) as well as understanding and evaluating internal capital requests, applying a rigorous, return-focused allocation framework.

  • Liquidity & Risk Management: Support the Treasury function by analyzing short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, monitoring liquidity levels, and managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk exposures.

  • Reporting and Research: create and distribute internal research papers for executive leadership and the Board of Directors on market activity, peer financings and their pricing, as well as important precedent transaction summaries.

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $130,000 - $160,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
