Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in purchasing field

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Place purchase orders and releases for components involved in manufacturing final product.
• Follow up on delivery schedule and expedites when necessary to provide material availability as required.
• Produce MRP Master Schedule weekly and update daily to provide accurate material information.
• Daily post receipt of materials to corresponding cards and MRP schedule.
• Proof and verify plant-wide purchase orders for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain good vender contacts in order to promote good-will of company and effective supplier services.
• Prepare request for quotes and sourcing for parts of upcoming programs.
• Work with vendors to develop a price reduction program.
• Telephone systems administrator-answers questions and concerns on facilities telephone system.
• Notifies proper personnel of material shortage.
• QS 9000 auditor-works directly with QS9000 administrator to develop QS9000 system for area and audits other areas.
• Works with vendor to maintain quality, as well as quality related issues.
• Handle requests for quotations which develop from manufacturing engineering, shop supervisory, personnel, and applications engineering people.
• Answer questions involving stock status of various parts on hand.
• Audit suppliers and vendors for QS9000 comply.
• Visit vendor facilities to maintain relationship and quality.
• Facilitate all new packaging designs and implementations.
• Order all customer labels making label changes as directed by customer.
• Coordinate and implement new edifacts system in shipping.
• Cover supplier mgt. Secretary as needed.
• Coordinate and follow edi information from customer.
• Arrange all transportation for incoming freight.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The pay range provided represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications, while maintaining fairness with internal pay structures. We ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, including those related to minimum pay requirements.
