Job summary

Pattern in Lehi, Utah is seeking an Associate Buyer to execute demand forecasting, inventory planning, and weekly ordering for a defined group of brands, with guidance from senior team members.

You will build 3, 6, and 9 month ordering plans, prepare monthly demand, sales, and receipt forecasts, and align with brand management on ordering strategies. The role offers hybrid work, collaboration with senior team members, and growth toward an Inventory Manager position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of supply/demand planning, buying, or analytical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Exposure to ERP systems and inventory workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update short-term demand forecasts and place weekly orders for assigned brands.
• Build and maintain 3, 6, and 9 month ordering plans with support from senior managers.
• Prepare monthly demand, sales, and receipt forecasts and review them internally before sharing externally.
• Align with brand management on ordering strategies and execution.
• Identify forecast deviations and recommend corrective actions with guidance.
• Participate in brand calls and independently lead portions of discussions.

We are looking for an Associate Buyer who will execute demand forecasting, inventory planning, and weekly ordering for a defined group of brands with guidance from senior team members. Brand communication and cross-functional alignment are key to success. Performance is measured by forecast accuracy, inventory health, instock rates, and execution consistency.

This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule in Lehi, Utah.

• Prepare monthly demand, sales, and receipt forecasts and review them internally before sharing externally
• Align with brand management on agreed-upon ordering strategies and execution
• Identify forecast deviations and recommend corrective actions with guidance
• Participate in brand calls and independently lead portions of discussions as confidence grows
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of supply/demand planning, buying, or analytical experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
• Exposure to ERP systems and inventory workflows
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring forecasting cycles
• Understanding of basic retail KPIs

• This role builds the technical and analytical foundation needed to advance into an Inventory Manager role. You will deepen your forecasting skills, brand relationship management, and operational decision-making while receiving regular feedback and mentorship.
• This team is collaborative and execution-focused. Associate Inventory Managers work closely with Inventory Managers and senior team members on shared goals and improvement initiatives. You will report into an Associate Director of Inventory Management, with increasing autonomy over time.
