Pay Range: $45,000 to $55,000 annual

Position Summary Description:

Provide administrative support for the Purchasing team including item maintenance in the perpetual inventory system, claims processing and customer issues. Assists Buyers with various business processes such as vendor claims for samples and damages, researching new products, purchase order confirmation and identification of discrepancies, and vendor management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Has a foundational understanding of how purchasing fits into the Y. Hata business processes.

2. Assists buyers in maintaining the integrity of the perpetual inventory system through item maintenance. Reviews reporting and alerts others to discrepancies and makes corrections.

3. Assists buyers with purchase order including tasks such as confirming purchase order, prices, and identifying discrepancies.

4. Processes and expedites purchase orders for local vendors. Takes on a progressively increasing vendor/item load as training progresses.

5. Tracks and ensures resolution to customer issues by collaborating with other teams as necessary.

6. Supports vendor management by working with new and existing vendors on required paperwork and verification of item data.

7. Provides administrative support such as drafting correspondence and maintaining/filing documentation.

8. Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

One to two years of experience in a business-related field preferred. Foodservice industry a plus.
