Job summary

Nearwater Capital seeks a Business Transformation Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives, driving scalability, efficiency, and risk control across the firm.

You will translate strategy into executable plans, manage end-to-end projects, map workflows, and document SOPs and training to ensure durable improvements across Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Finance. You will partner with senior leaders, track metrics, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management and/or business transformation experience.
• Financial Services industry experience required.
• Proven track record in structured finance, capital markets, or fintech environments preferred.
• Proficient in creating visual workflows using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
• Project Management: Experience with managing and executing multiple projects at once.
• Problem Decomposition: Ability to break complex problems into smaller, manageable work streams.
• Data Analysis: Comfortable with Excel, process analytics tools, and basic SQL knowledge preferred.
• Documentation: Strong technical writing and process documentation skills for creating documentation, process guides, and training materials.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SEC, MiFID 2, SBSD, CFTC) a plus.

Responsibilities

The Business Transformation Project Manager will play a central role in driving cross-functional initiatives that enhance the scalability, efficiency, and control environment of the firm.

You will partner cross functionally to design and implement process improvements and transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into executable plans, ensuring that projects are delivered effectively and aligned with the firm’s broader objectives.

The role carries end-to-end responsibility for driving complex initiatives—from initial problem definition through execution—while building scalable processes and frameworks that support the firm’s continued growth.

What You'll Do

Project Management & Execution

• Identify, mobilize and drive cross-functional projects from conception through completion

What We're Looking For

Experience & Background

• 3+ years of project management and/or business transformation experience
• Financial Services industry experience required
• Proven track record in structured finance, capital markets, or fintech environments preferred
• Process Mapping Expertise: Proficient in creating visual workflows using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms
• Project Management: Experience with managing and executing multiple projects at once
