Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Business Systems Consultant to lead Agile processes as Scrum Master for a multi-pod team, aligning with BTS stakeholders and implementing dashboards and tooling to enhance delivery. The role focuses on turning business requirements into functional specs and guiding testing and validation within an AI-enabled infrastructure environment.

Job Description

ThisAssociateBusiness Systems Consultantwillperform multiple rules:

• Act as a Scrum Master for a multi-pod Agile team, coordinating SCRUM cadence and escalations across pods, in adherencewithlocal Agile standards.This includes JIRA standards anddocumentation
• Serveas adefaultpoint of contact for internal-to BTS stakeholders (i.e.BTS acting as the business)for assigned items
• Implement andmaintaintools used by the BTS team to enhance delivery capabilities, including reporting dashboards, documentation tools, code quality tools, etc.
• Manage andprovideexpert advice on the selection, design, justification, implementation, and business use of information systems.
• Analyze business processes; elicit, analyze, and document business requirements;identifyalternative solutions, assess feasibility, and make recommendations typicallyseekingto exploit andleveragenew or existing technology components.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements; perform data and process modeling; manage changeand lead, coordinate/perform testing, verification, and validation of requirements.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and communicate the organizations business strategy; work directly with business unitand/or internal ITclients to understand specific business processes and needs and opportunities for improvement; identifyIT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborate in the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Identifycurrent and emerging business needs andevaluatealternative technology solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices. Proactively seek out strategic business opportunities with business unit executives for the application of new or existing technology capabilities.
• Develop technology strategies that meet the requirements of the business.Identifythe business benefits of alternative strategies. Ensure compliance between business strategies and technology directions. Prepare testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design areaccurateand complete.
• Allywith other BTS functional areas to remain current on project status and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keep BTS managers aware of user issues andresolvesconflicts.
• Identifythe impact of any relevant statutory, internal, or external regulations on the organization's use of information.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determiningobjectivesof assignment. Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial, and quality aspects. Establish organizationalobjectivesanddelegatesassignments. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and subordinates.
• Accountable for the accuracy of the fit of the proposed solution to the business needs and the information upon which the business justification and prioritization decisions are made. Also accountable for communicating the business needsand drivers to development groups toassurethe implementation phase can fulfill the business needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors Degree with 6 years experience;Masters Degreewith 5 years experience; PhD with 0 years experience.
• Respectiveyearsofdemonstratedexperience as a scrum master in an AI-enabled Infrastructure automation environment
• Experience reporting business outcomes alongside project delivery roadmap, in both a backward-looking (performance/results) and future-looking (projections and expectations) time scale
• Experience working with department-wide Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to standardize reporting cadences and adhere to corporate documentation standards while also enabling the delivery team
• Demonstrated experience driving change across multiple scrum teams/pods in a scrum master capacity
• Demonstrated ability to deliver tools useful tointernaldelivery team.

Preferred

• 2+years of experience as a scrum master in an AI-enabled Infrastructure automation environment
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, Pharma practices, and AbbVie specific practicesa strongplus.
• Strong bonus:Demonstratedability to deliver working software using AI coding techniques.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at thetimeofthis posting based on the job grade for this position.Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographiclocation,andwemay ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may bemodified in thefuture.
