Associate Business Analyst - Shelton, CT

Location: HCI Non Hubbell Location, CT, US, 06484-4300

The Associate Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the HES C&I Sales Organization in business planning, performance analysis, market intelligence and salesforce efficiency. The individual will manage identified critical initiatives focused on optimized internal business processes; helping to maintain and grow market position; and drive continuous improvement in Commercial Excellence platforms. This role will report to the VP, Commercial Excellence.

  • Lead the updating a C&I Sales Playbook that includes all relevant brand information; contact information; operating model; and how to interact with the other C&I sales teams
  • Support vertical market and contractor team pilots with data analysis to identify opportunities
  • End market analysis to support overall business objectives
  • Develop and maintain competitive matrix
  • Act as the liaison with Hubbell Enterprise Marketing and the HES business
  • Create micro level trend interactions within regions (i.e. – project wins, NPD feedback, distributor alignment shifts)
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis in development of new potential markets
  • Support strategic planning efforts, quota setting process, and business development opportunities
What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or marketing
• Minimum of one year with CRM systems (Salesforce.com preferred)
• Minimum of one years of data analysis and systems experience
• Travel as required up to 20%
Other Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of profit and loss balance sheets
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• High proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
• SAP experience a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with product, sales, research and marketing managers
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Project Management: Coordinates and manages project plans
