Job summary

BrightView Landscapes seeks an Associate Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations of the branch and drive client satisfaction. You will oversee 3+ client service teams, ensure quality landscape management, and help meet financial targets while growing market share.

Responsibilities include building long-term client relationships, budgeting, supervising crews, coordinating billing, and partnering with the Business Developer to achieve branch sales goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in horticulture, business-related field, or equivalent experience in a customer-focused service industry
• Minimum 2-4 years of management work experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/costing software packages
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Solid working knowledge of business accounting, P&L management and financial analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term relationships and communicate regularly with key clients
• Inspect key client properties to monitor performance and overall job quality
• Ensure BrightView's existing accounts are renewed each year
• Coordinate and manage client service teams
• Assist the Branch Manager in the performance of financial and accounting tasks
• Develop forecasts/budgets
• Work with the Operational Accounting team to track branch performance
• Ensure billing is completed timely and accurate; ensure contracts are executed correctly
• Identify staffing needs and monitor branch safety
• Guide and develop Crew Leaders and Crew Members
• Support sales tasks and ensure branch sales goals are met or exceeded
• Understand and accurately estimate jobs

Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop long-term relationships and communicate regularly with key clients
• Inspect key client properties to monitor performance and overall job quality
• Ensure BrightView's existing accounts are renewed each year
• Coordinate and manage client service teams
• Assist the Branch Manager in the performance of financial and accounting tasks, as required
• Develop forecasts/budgets

• Ensure proper use and care of all branch assets
• Identify staffing needs
• Monitor branch safety record and implement methods to improve safe workplace practices
• Monitor and guide supervisors as they train Crew Leaders and Crew Members
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by BrightView
• Assist the Branch Manager in the performance of sales tasks, as required
• Ensure new sales goals for the branch are properly budgeted
• Work with the Business Developer to ensure those goals are met or exceeded
• Identify prospects to meet sales goals and communicate with the Business Developer
• Understand and accurately estimate jobs
• Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and hires
• Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plan(s) for employees

Education And Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in horticulture, business-related field, or equivalent experience in a customer-focused service industry
• Minimum 2-4 years of management work experience
• Proficient in project and time management, resource planning, and effective decision making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/costing software packages.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Solid working knowledge of business accounting. P&L management and financial analysis to support branch profitability
• Experienced in horticulture, landscaping equipment, and managing a fleet of company vehicles.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as alaptop, acell phone, and printers/copiers
• Ability to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walking, standing, and kneeling.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

Work Environment

• Work in an indoor office and also outdoors during site walkthroughs and site supervision duties.
