Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Consultant to support high-volume environmental services for utility clients in California. The role involves project planning, permitting, compliance monitoring, and technical support services related to biological resources.
The ideal candidate will lead project teams, conduct fieldwork, and prepare technical reports. A Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience are required. Benefits include competitive pay and flexible work arrangements.
You will primarily support a high-volume environmental services program for a large utility client, with potential to support additional clients based on need/availability. You will perform and/or lead project planning and development, permitting, compliance monitoring, surveys, inspections/enforcement, and technical support services in relation to biological resources. You will also write reports, develop plans, and implement steps to move projects toward closure in the most cost-effective manner.
This role is based out of our Southern California Stantec offices, including Los Angeles, CA; Pasadena, CA; Irvine, CA; Bakersfield, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Ventura, CA; Monrovia, CA. Geographic alignment with other Stantec offices can be considered based on experience.
Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
Minimum 3 years related experience or a master's degree may be taken into consideration as 1–2 years of professional experience.
Experience with San Joaquin Valley and other geographic areas, preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range: Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas - $67,000.00 - $97,200.00 annually.
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
