SUMMARY :

Responsible for actively promoting and selling North Shore Bank products and services, building account relationships, and performing Teller duties. Performs sales support activities for the sales area of the branch. On average, at least 50% of activities will be devoted to sales and sales support. Performs office and administrative duties as assigned to support operational needs. Some Associate Bankers are assigned as Area Associate Bankers; staff in these roles support multiple branch locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES
  • Opens new accounts and maintains deposit accounts; responds promptly and courteously to customers; ensures forms are completed accurately and customers understand account terms; provides proper disclosures.
  • Balances Teller referrals and production to meet branch goals.
  • Provides basic information on consumer loan products; refers potential customers to appropriate personnel.
  • Recognizes additional customer opportunities and refers them to branch business partners.
  • Uses prospect lists for outbound calls and participates in call initiatives.
  • Provides quality, personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Follows up timely with clients via phone, written communication, or in person.
  • Collaborates with Branch Manager and Personal Banker to achieve production goals.
SALES SUPPORT
  • Performs Teller and New Accounts duties as needed for branch demands.
  • Completes customer files and documentation; supports personal banking paperwork.
  • Researches and follows up on incomplete or missing documentation.
  • Assists with statement balancing and research.
  • Prepares documents for account re-titling.
  • Provides additional sales support as required.
  • Participates in sales, product knowledge, and service meetings.
OPERATIONS
  • Executes transactions efficiently and accurately, monitoring work quality and quantity.
  • May open or close the branch as needed.
  • Follows standard operating and security procedures.
  • Addresses questions from prospects or customers and directs complex inquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Handles complex and non-routine inquiries, researches and resolves customer problems, referring difficult cases to management.
  • Displays good judgment when waiving fees or negotiating deposit rates within bank guidelines.
  • Consistently meets North Shore Bank customer service standards with external and internal clients.
QUALIFICATIONS :

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS :

May need to register and maintain a loan originator license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. Submit fingerprints, update registry, and complete annual training as required.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related sales and service experience. Interest in sales and excellent customer service skills required. Good working knowledge of deposit products and basic consumer loan products. Basic financial acumen and proficiency with computer systems are necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and communicate effectively. Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to drive to branch locations is required.
