Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking an Associate Cloud Security Engineer - AWS to support cloud security consulting across engagements. You will assist with assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance mapping, learning from senior consultants and growing professionally in a leading cybersecurity practice.

You will gain hands-on experience with IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Config, while applying IaC tools and scripting to implement security controls in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification (required).
• Minimum 1 year hands-on AWS cloud services experience.
• Foundational AWS IAM concepts: roles, policies, MFA.
• Familiarity with CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config.
• IaC exposure: Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Basic scripting ability (Python preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist cloud security assessments and client deliverables under seniors.
• Support security architecture reviews and remediation planning.
• Document findings, recommendations, and roadmaps.
• Help create security diagrams, reports, and templates.
• Contribute to internal methodologies and knowledge sharing.
