Position Summary

Supports the Auditing team in executing risk-based and required assurance engagements. Executes data testing procedures, prepares documentation, and contributes to the evaluation of internal controls while gaining foundational knowledge and experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes data-driven testing procedures under the direction and supervision of experienced team members, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Responsible for the quality, accuracy of results and delivery of analytics.
• Evaluates data quality issues and identifies potential exceptions or inefficient practices for root causes. Proposes advice and recommendations for achievable solutions.
• Clearly articulates data testing strategies in terms that are accessible and understandable to audit peers.
• Develops an understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance practices so that recommendations are aligned with standards.
• Builds professional relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
• Actively engages in learning and development opportunities to build core analytical skills.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar field.
• Experience using SQL, Python or other data query languages.
• Previous internship experience, preferred.
• One or more of the following areas are preferred: CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CFA, or other certifications related to data.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• This position is based in our Chicago Corporate office and is a hybrid position with a 65 day remote-day bank.
