Job Description
The Associate Attorney will handle workers’ compensation cases on the plaintiff side, focusing on securing settlements and advocating for injured workers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims from start to finish.
  • Managing a caseload that includes settlement negotiations and some litigation.
  • Drafting legal documents such as motions, petitions, and discovery.
  • Appearing at hearings and depositions before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
  • Working with medical and vocational experts to strengthen client cases.
  • Keeping clients informed about case progress and legal strategies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • 1+ years of experience in workers’ compensation law (plaintiff or defense).
  • Strong litigation skills, with the ability to negotiate and draft legal documents effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for advocating for injured workers.
