Job summary

Ritsema Law LLC seeks an Associate Attorney in Fort Collins, Colorado. Hybrid or fully remote options available; must be licensed in CO, AZ, or UT and reside in CO, AZ, MT, or WY. The firm represents employers and insurers in workers' compensation, general liability, and Medicare set-aside matters.

Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings and briefs, hearings, and client advisement. Competitive salary with strong benefits in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Colorado, Arizona, and/or Utah Bar(s).
• Experience in general liability defense or workers' comp subrogation preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in workers' compensation hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Manage client communications and advise on workers' compensation claims.
• Develop case strategies and legal arguments for clients.
• Participate in client meetings, settlements, and administrative proceedings.
• Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law standards.
