Qualifications

  • Must have a JD and an active Bar License in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 2+ years of experience in Immigration Law is required.

Responsibilities

MRA Law Group, P.A. is a law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is dedicated exclusively to practicing Immigration Law in the United States. We represent businesses, individuals and families undergoing the U.S. immigration procedures. Our mission is to provide effective solutions to immigration matters and achieve our clients’ success in this difficult and important process.

As an Associate Attorney at MRA Law Group, P.A. you will be part of a team of passionate, dedicated and tenacious professionals and most importantly, you’ll get the opportunity to use your legal expertise to make a real impact in our clients’ lives.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Prepare, submit, and review several immigration applications including family and humanitarian-based petitions and removal defense;
  • Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, and the BIA;
  • Coordinate case and legal strategies with team members;
  • Prepare and manage various case filings and deadlines;
  • Review, edit, and prepare briefs, cover letters, and case filings to USCIS;
  • Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial and agencies decisions;
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect immigration;
  • Develop solutions to complex legal questions;
  • Comply with all legal ethical standards;
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: You must be able to keep track of multiple cases and deadlines, and to manage a large volume of information.

Your credentials must include:

  • A JD from an ABA-Accredited Law School
  • An active Bar License in at least one U.S. Jurisdiction
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Immigration Law
  • Experience with humanitarian relief (i.e., VAWA, U visa, T visa) is a MAJOR PLUS.
  • Additional Languages A PLUS: Haitian-Creole, Spanish, and/or Portuguese
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

What awaits you:

Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 annually
