Watts & Associates Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious Am Law 50 global law firm to hire a Trademark & Copyright Associate in San Francisco, CA. The role involves managing trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement and related disputes for high-value clients.

You will work closely with partners, gain ownership of portfolios, and have exposure to international filings, corporate, regulatory and litigation matters, with strong mentoring and career development.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-4 years of trademark, copyright, brand-management or related IP experience.
• Experience with prosecution, enforcement or portfolio management.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational and deadline-management abilities.

Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a trademark & copyright associate with:

• Approximately 2-4 years of trademark, copyright, brand-management or related IP experience
• Experience with prosecution, enforcement or portfolio management
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
• Excellent organisational and deadline-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple portfolios and client priorities
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Excellent academic credentials (T14 Law School preferred) and sophisticated law-firm experience
• Admission to the California Bar

Experience with TTAB proceedings, international portfolios or advertising matters is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range is $235,000-$310,000, depending on class year, experience, location, qualifications and other relevant factors.
