Orion Placement in Edwardsville, IL, seeks a mid-level litigation attorney to handle sophisticated asbestos, toxic tort, and products liability matters. You will take ownership of cases, perform research, and support strategy while gaining hands-on trial exposure in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Deposition experience required.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Missouri license is a plus.
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Handle asbestos, toxic tort, and products liability litigation matters from case inception through resolution.
• Research, analyze, and interpret statutes, regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinions.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload and drive cases forward.
• Monitor case files and deadlines to ensure matters stay on track.
• Investigate facts and legal issues to help determine causes of action and support case strategy.
• Assist with document review and case analysis.
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings in various counties and courthouses.
• Work closely with the team on defense strategy, case development, and litigation execution.
