Job summary

Union Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to support our Removal Defense / Deportation Defense practice in San Diego. This is a litigation-focused role for a compassionate attorney with sound judgment who wants to make an impact through immigration defense work and direct client interaction.

Candidates must have an active California Bar license and be in good standing; experience in EOIR matters and strong legal writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar License.
• Active State Bar membership in good standing.
• Experience in Removal Defense / EOIR matters.
• Strong legal writing and advocacy skills.
• Courtroom confidence and sound professional judgment.
• Spanish is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in EOIR proceedings and removal defense matters.
• Appear at Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings.
• Prepare motions, briefs, legal arguments, and applications for relief.
• Conduct client consultations and strategy meetings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Advocate for clients with empathy, professionalism, and urgency.
