Job Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of insurance cases, primarily first-party property cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery.
• Represent clients in pre-trial proceedings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
• Develop defense strategies, negotiate settlements, and advise on case resolutions.
• Stay updated on laws, legal codes, court procedures, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and team members.
• Manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the client base and firm reputation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• At least 6 years of litigation experience, focusing on first-party property insurance claims.
• Proven success in insurance case representation.
• Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in legal research platforms and MS Office.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
