Associate Attorney - Personal Injury Defense

We are seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney specialized in personal injury defense to join our Santa Ana, CA law firm. This role offers a unique opportunity to handle personal injury defense litigation in a hybrid work environment with the flexibility of more remote work for experienced candidates. As a pivotal part of our legal team, you will manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial, demonstrating strong litigation abilities across various stages such as discovery and court proceedings.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee personal injury defense litigation from initial case analysis to trial.
• Conduct comprehensive management of all phases of discovery, including document collection and review, and managing electronic data involved in litigation.
• Handle and coordinate site inspections to ensure accurate fact-finding and evidence gathering.
• Lead depositions and expert discovery processes, maintaining meticulous attention to detail in complex cases.
• Independently appear for court appearances, hearings, and other related legal proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with other legal team members to ensure alignment on legal strategies that meet client and firm objectives.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience specifically in personal injury defense.
• Must possess a current license to practice law in California.
• Proven track record in managing extensive litigation cases, with strong skills in discovery and courtroom appearances.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide high-quality service to clients.
• Capability to function both independently and as part of a larger team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury, with remote work options available for candidates meeting this criterion.
• Experience in a leading or managerial capacity within litigation projects.
