Profile

A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with knowledge of securities law and class action litigation. The ideal candidate will have top academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school, excellent writing skills, and a desire to work on challenging and complex securities class action cases.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to securities law and class action litigation.
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings as required.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • 2-12 years of experience in class action litigation or complex civil litigation.
  • Knowledge of securities law and class action litigation.
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of securities law and class action litigation.
  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Litigation experience in class action or complex civil cases.
  • Case management and organizational skills.
