Job Overview

Duties
  1. Court Appearances: Prepare for and attend court appearances on time. Travel to local and remote courthouses as needed, including overnight stays.
  2. Court Coverage Placements: Review and request coverage for court calls when unable to appear, ensuring the timely submission of necessary documents.
  3. Mid-Litigation Motions and Responses: Draft, review, and file motions during litigation.
  4. Trials and Arbitrations: Prepare for and attend trials or arbitrations as necessary, which may involve overnight stays in distant counties.
  5. Client and Attorney Communication: Communicate with consumers, employers, and attorneys to resolve accounts and legal matters.
Requirements
  1. License: Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina. Additional licensing in other states is a plus.
  2. Court Appearances: Must be comfortable appearing in court and consistently able to attend on time using personal transportation.
  3. Travel: Occasional travel required, with reimbursement for travel expenses according to IRS guidelines.
  4. Time Management: Ability to manage a high caseload and multitask effectively.
