Safeguard Law Group, PLLC is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice. The role is based remotely with travel for court appearances and requires current admission to the Mississippi bar, located near Biloxi, MS.

You will handle pleadings, memoranda, and client communications while supporting our New York HQ via telephone and electronic channels. This position offers a heavy workload and professional growth in civil and transactional matters.

Qualificações

• Must be admitted to practice law in Mississippi.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Mississippi.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel to in-court appearances as required.

Associate Attorney

We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney to join our firm's practice in Mississippi. The ideal candidate is one who has experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings and legal memoranda, has strong organizational skills, and is willing to take on a heavy workload. This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Because our firm’s headquarters are in New York, this position entails communicating with our main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Candidates must be currently located in or near the Biloxi, Mississippi area to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
