Job summary

The candidate will manage litigation from start to finish, conduct legal research, depose witnesses, and support trials while maintaining client communications. Illinois bar in good standing and 2+ years in PL are required.

Our client, a well-established defense firm, is looking for a licensed Associate Attorney to join their Chicago office. This role focuses on Professional Liability, with an emphasis on Medical and Dental Malpractice and long term care defense. The associate will primarily handle matters in Cook County, along with DuPage and other collar counties.

What you\'ll be doing

• Managing a litigation caseload independently, from inception through resolution
• Conducting research and analysis of statutes, regulations, ordinances, and case law
• Investigating facts and legal issues to build sound defense strategies
• Taking and defending depositions, with regular court appearances
• Supporting trial preparation and participating in trials of professional liability matters
• Reviewing and analyzing documents
• Communicating and reporting to clients with care and precision
