Job summary

Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L. in Miami seeks litigation associates with 2–10 years of experience to join our civil litigation practice.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to professional liability, EPL, and D&O matters, with additional value from experience in legal malpractice and commercial litigation. You will manage cases end-to-end, draft and respond to discovery, depose witnesses, and appear in court.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required and admitted to practice in Florida in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience in professional liability, EPL, D&O, or commercial matters.
• Large firm or specialized boutique experience; clerkship or trial experience is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Aderant Expert Sierra, iTimekeep, and NetDocuments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases independently from inception through resolution, including deadline and docket management.
• Prepare written discovery, take depositions, and handle motion practice and court appearances.
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Develop case strategy and prepare reports and status updates.

Job description

Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L., a civil litigation firm with offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and New York, represents businesses, institutions, and individuals across a broad civil litigation docket. We have multiple openings for litigation associates in our Miami office, with approximately 2–10 years of experience.

The ideal candidate has substantive experience litigating professional liability, employment practices liability (EPL), and/or director & officer (D&O) liability matters. Experience with legal malpractice, professional negligence, and commercial litigation is also valuable.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases independently from inception through resolution, including deadline and docket management
• Prepare written discovery, take depositions, and handle motion practice and court appearances
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
• Develop case strategy and prepare reports and status updates
