The Mortgage Law Firm in Dallas is seeking an experienced associate attorney to manage foreclosure-related litigation, loss-mitigation, and title matters. You will supervise paralegals, prepare pleadings and motions, and coordinate with clients while ensuring ethical, timely service.

Candidates should have a JD, NM bar license (dual licensure preferred in TX and NM), at least 5 years of foreclosure experience, and strong research, writing, and client-communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate and admission to the New Mexico Bar in good standing.
  • 5 years of experience as an associate attorney with foreclosures, real property, and title work.
  • Dual licensure in New Mexico and Texas (or other states) preferred.
  • Strong ethics, adaptability, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, courtroom and client interaction abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple foreclosure-related files through litigation, loss-mitigation, and related matters.
  • Research and analyze regulatory and case law; adjust strategy as needed.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, letters, and briefs with high quality standards.
  • Review and edit work product of staff; provide guidance and approvals.
  • Maintain ethical standards, timely communications, and client service.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, trials, and court appearances as required.
  • Learn and use CMS and client platforms to keep files current.
  • Collaborate with colleagues; function as a team player and self-starter.
  • Perform initial intake and strategic analysis of new cases; record billable activity.
  • Pursue continuing education (CLEs) to stay current in the field.
  • Assist Managing Attorney with additional tasks as assigned.
