Job summary

Orion Placement represents a growing law firm in Ogden, Utah, seeking an Associate Attorney to handle divorce, custody, and family law matters. You will manage cases from intake to resolution, participate in negotiations, mediation and trial preparation, and collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, strong writing and research, excellent communication, and a desire to build a long-term career in family law.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience practicing as an Associate Attorney in Utah.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
• Interest in practicing divorce and family law; family law experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution, including negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate regularly with clients while providing compassionate, strategic legal guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to deliver exceptional client service.

Location: Ogden, Utah | Full-time | On-site. Practice law in a beautiful mountain community with world-class skiing, hiking, biking, and outdoor recreation just minutes away.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Utah and have at least 1+ year of experience as an Associate Attorney. An interest in building a career in divorce and family law is required. Prior family law experience is preferred but not required.
