We are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 0–6 years of experience to support our partner-led domestic relations team. This is a unique opportunity for a junior or mid-level attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience and take on meaningful responsibilities in all aspects of client representation.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping families navigate difficult transitions, enjoys litigation, and values a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
Represent clients in all stages of family law litigation, including:
Divorce
Custody and visitation
Child and spousal support
Protective orders and enforcement proceedings
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Attend hearings, trials, and client meetings
Conduct legal research and manage case files
Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and administrative staff on case strategy and deadlines
Maintain timely and professional communication with clients
Qualifications
-Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
-Licensed to practice law in Virginia, or sitting for the July 2025 Virginia Bar Exam (required)
-0–6 years of legal experience (family law or litigation experience preferred)
-Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
-Excellent time management, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication
-Willingness to appear in court regularly and manage a growing caseload
Preferred (But Not Required)
-Admission to the District of Columbia Bar
-Familiarity with Virginia courts and procedure
