Job description

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a focus on defense of Equine, Premises Liability and Professional Liability matters. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are looking to continue to hone their skills by handling case files with autonomy, but also having the benefit of working in a collaborative, collegial environment. The successful candidate can sit remotely, but should be within driving distance of Ocala, FL given various appearances in the region.

We seek candidates with:

  • Current, active license to practice law in Florida;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling civil defense matters, with the ability to handle all related litigation functions;
  • Ability to analyze sophisticated and complex factual and legal issues;
  • Excellent legal-research, writing, and advocacy skills;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Proven ability to produce top quality work;
  • A willingness to independently manage and take ownership of a cases, but also be able to work within a team structure when needed;
  • Experience in federal court desirable.

This position will allow the attorney to immediately contribute and engage in meaningful work to further address our clients’ legal needs. Compensation is competitive with opportunity for bonus and credit for business origination.
