Job summary

MDS Staffing represents a highly respected national labor and employment law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation team in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires 4–7 years of employment litigation experience and an active Florida Bar admission, with hybrid work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Florida Bar admission, in good standing.
• 4-7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour issues.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial/hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.

Our client, a highly respected national labor and employment law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice in Jacksonville. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle sophisticated employment disputes while working closely with employers on complex workplace matters. The role offers meaningful litigation responsibility, client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Candidate Profile

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Active Florida Bar admission, in good standing
• 4-7 years of substantive employment litigation experience
• Experience handling employment-related disputes involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and other workplace-related issues
• Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and related litigation documents
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: USD/YEAR $230,000 - $265,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and class year.
