Job summary

Confidential Employer in Washington, DC is seeking an entry-level attorney with a JD to join our on-site legal team. You will work alongside experienced attorneys on governance, business transactions, regulatory matters, and outside general counsel services.

This role emphasizes hands-on training, mentorship, and meaningful client work, with a strong focus on professional development and collaboration. Candidates must be admitted to the DC bar; 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred but

Responsibilities

• Assist tribal governments, businesses, and organizations on governance and commercial matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documents.
• Support business transactions, regulatory matters, and outside general counsel services.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop practical solutions for complex matters.
• Work closely with teams to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Location

Washington, DC – Full-time, on-site opportunity. Work alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative office environment that encourages mentorship, professional growth, and hands-on learning. Some travel may be required.

Note

Candidates must hold a J.D. from an accredited law school and an active Washington, DC bar license. Entry-level attorneys are encouraged to apply! While 2+ years of relevant legal experience is preferred, we welcome motivated candidates with strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Prior tribal law experience is not required.
