Job summary

Ansbacher Law seeks an associate attorney to join our Community Association practice, representing condominium and homeowners’ associations across Florida from our Jacksonville or Heathrow offices. This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and the chance to expand litigation and general counsel experience while learning from experienced board-certified attorneys.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar member in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior civil litigation experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to attend Board meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in community association, real estate, construction, or related law is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Chapters 718 and 720, Florida Statutes, is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent condominium and homeowners’ associations in civil litigation and general counsel matters.
  • Manage litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Advise clients as to board governance.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analysis.
  • Handle and assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and other court proceedings.
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and potential resolutions.
  • Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements.
  • Assist with covenant enforcement including litigation involving association governing documents.
  • Represent association clients in disputes involving owners, contractors, vendors, and other parties.
  • Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
  • Attend Board meetings, hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings, as required.

Ansbacher Law is seeking an associate Attorney to join our Community Association practice team representing condominium and homeowners’ associations in a fast-paced and well-established real estate firm. This position would represent our association clients throughout Florida from our office in either Jacksonville or Heathrow, Florida. This position will focus on representing condominium and homeowners’ associations in a variety of civil litigation and general counsel matters.

The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney who is interested in developing or expanding their litigation and general counsel experience while working directly with clients and learning from experienced, board-certified attorneys. Our associates receive meaningful responsibility, significant client contact, and opportunities to develop their litigation skills through hands-on experience.
