Job summary

Kinetic Staffing LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognized law firm with an established litigation practice in Jackson, Mississippi. The role offers substantive litigation experience, direct involvement in complex matters, and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships while collaborating with a focused team.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Mississippi licensure or eligibility, top academic standing, and excellent legal writing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Mississippi or able to obtain licensure promptly.
• 3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Top 10–15% academic standing required.
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication and professional presence.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Motivated, proactive approach with a genuine interest in litigation practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Manage written discovery, including drafting requests, responses, and objections.
• Develop litigation strategies and contribute to practical solutions for complex legal matters.
• Assist with depositions, witness preparation, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Support litigation matters through all phases of the legal process.
• Prepare and review court filings in state and federal courts.
• Draft client correspondence, legal opinions, and case summaries.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, legal support staff, and clients to deliver exceptional service.
• Manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Build trusted relationships with clients through responsive, professional legal counsel.
